DI Enhances Primary Years Program

Many of the skills that students develop through their participation in PYP are transferable to the DI program.

Destination ImagiNation is a program that enhances the IB Primary Years Program. The students learn to collaborate and team with one another effectively. They are engaged in learning activities and problem solving so that their work is "hands on" inquiry.

The open ended-ness creates the challenge and motivation for the students. They must access higher level questioning and thinking skills in order to move the problem solving and inquiry forward. Students learn people skills as they team together with a common purpose. And the presentation skills required at the end of the inquiry journey is similar to alternative summative assessments that the students are required to produce at the end of an inquiry unit.

The programs are truly aligned.
